September Goals/Wishlist

Hey guys!! How’s everyone feeling with summer coming to an end? Honestly, it’s bitter sweet for me. Summer used to be my favorite season, but with how the weather has been here in New England, I think I’m A-OK with the Fall season taking over. I just started my blog about a week ago, so I’m pretty new to the blogging world! But I’ve always been into beauty/fashion/all things aesthetically pleasing. SO I figured this blog would be a good way to share some of those things I’m passionate about and maybe give you guys some ideas/helpful tips/inspiration!

#1 At least 1 Haul: Since I’m sorta just starting out with blogging, and because for a while I wasn’t able to afford much else except for necessities and bills, I haven’t really been able to start a big makeup collection. But in August, I decided to start investing in one because..well I’m passionate about makeup and fashion! And I don’t make many large purchases otherwise (it always makes me feel guilty afterwards! 😩) I’ve always loved seeing Haul posts, it makes me want to go on some mini shopping sprees myself to find some cute things! They never fail to give inspiration, and a lot of the time, the bloggers/vloggers give some great ideas for the season and new trends coming up! So I’d really love to jump on that wagon and maybe help inspire some of you guys too! If there’s any certain stores or brands that you’d like me to do a Haul on, feel free to comment them! I’ll do my best to get on that!

#2 Unboxings: So I had never ordered subscription boxes before. I’ve seen videos on them but never really thought to get them myself..probably again because of finances πŸ™„ But let’s just say I went a little crazy and signed up for 3 monthly boxes a couple weeks ago! So for September, I’ll be receiving the Ipsy, Birchbox and Walmart beauty box. I am SO excited for them to get here! I love the idea of not really know what you’re going to get, it’s like Christmas! I also love when Bloggers and Bloggers show their Unboxings, because it’s like we’re experiencing that excitement WITH them! So I’d really love to do a video this month after I’ve received all 3 boxes and show all the goodies that came with them! I may even do a giveaway depending on the samples I get πŸ€”. So stay tuned to find out!

#3 More Reviews: As you may or may not have noticed, I have one review list on my blog so far (E.L.F. Products Review) I actually had a lot of fun with it, and would definitely love to do more for some of the products I just got at Ulta the other day, main products I get through Hauls and my subscription boxes. If there are any products that you guys see that you’d like a review on, let me know! Your feedback is really important, and I know you guys have some great ideas, so I’d appreciate your suggestions!

#4 Youtube Channel: I’ve really been wanting to start a YouTube channel to kind of link with my blog to make it easier to do some of my favorite kinds of videos..(Hauls, Unboxings, Reviews) 😁 I’ve got a camera that I bought a while back to do a Travel vlog, so I’m planning to start with that for now. I just need to get some good video editing software! I’ve heard of a few great ones, but I want to know what you guys think is the best to use! Let me know in the comments?!

#5 Organization: (Probably the most important goal this month!)

Seeing that I hadn’t been able to afford a huge makeup collection before, I didn’t really see a need for a huge vanity in my somewhat tiny room. But since I moved back to my parents house from my apartment (the lease is ending this month), my stuff is kind of..everywhere and I realized just how much I really do need a spot to keep all of my makeup, skin care, nail, and hair products. SO I’ve been searching around for vanities, and found a few from IKEA! (I’ll be posting pics in the Wishlist section of this post).

β€’Planner for Blogging

In addition to having a vanity and stackable makeup organizers, I realize that I’m going to need to start planning out my blog posts ahead of time. I think everyone works differently in this area, some are better at just writing when inspired, but as much as that sounds amazing, for me it’s just not always practical because other things always seem to come up! And Id really like to make sure I get posts out consistently for you guys, so buying a planner for blogging is definitely on my Goal list for early this month!

β€’Proper Budget

Starting this blog has definitely made me want to just go out shopping every day to see what new, trendy things there are out there to get and include in my new collections! However…adulting makes that not so possible for some of us. I’m aware that shopping makes my impulsive side come out and want ALL the pretty things 😍😝 so I realize that I need to start setting a spending limit for myself when I go out. Even though I never really go too crazy with the spending, I still like to make sure that I never rack up much debt. But I’ve found it difficult to keep track of how much I actually can afford when my budget isn’t right in front of me. So my boyfriend and I are going to be figuring out our budget together and holding each other accountable! This way we won’t feel guilty when we do want to make impulse purchases, and we’ll still be making responsible decisions (yay!) I feel like this really helps if you’re trying work on your credit for the future (future home, new car, schooling, children). So you can still have fun with and enjoy your interests, hobbies and passions without too much structure, and you also feel free of guilt for overspending/buying unnecessary things that you won’t even use, and can still save for the big purchases you want to invest in for the future! It’s a win-win!

#1 Vanity: As I said earlier, I NEED a vanity at this point to keep my products in one place. So I was searching for some at IKEA and found some super stylish, and affordable pieces!

Alex Drawer Unit-WhiteΒ

Ive seen a few people that had this great idea to get 2 of these drawer units, and a separate table top from IKEA! Ive found a whole set up bought together like this, priced Β at around $1200. These drawer units are only $79 each and some table tops you can get for $15. What a difference right?! And they pretty much look the same! So needless to say, Im probably going to go with this route. The thing I love about this one is that there’s so many drawers! No matter how many products I end up getting, I’ll pretty much never run out of space! And with some acrylic makeup organizers that can slip perfectly into the drawers, I’ll never have to go searching for anything again.

Hollywood Iconic Plus Vanity Mirror

This mirror is a little more on the expensive side ($389) and you can get smaller ones for cheaper, but I really love the Hollywood style vanity mirrors and I want one that doesn’t get lost with my slightly longer desk. The smaller ones just don’t look right to me on a bigger desk. This is definitely something I hope to buy before the end of this month!

#2 Makeup

Urban Decay Naked Heat Pallette

I went to Ulta the other day, saw this pallette and knew I needed it! I ended up buying the Sweet Peach Eyeshadow Pallette by Too Faced, but since I was only planning to buy one pallette, I had to save this one for next time. I’m telling you though, it was hard to walk away! The colors and pigmentation seemed absolutely perfect, especially for blue/green eyes (which is what I have). So I definitely plan to get this one on my next trip which hopefully be soon 😁

Stellar Magnetic Eyeshadow Solar Pallette

Since I’m really trying to get a good collection going to be able to experiment with, Eyeshadow palettes are my new favorites lately. I saw this Pallette and thought it’d be amazing for the Fall Season! And because summer is starting to wrap up, it’s always nice to start thinking ahead 😁 I feel like there’s so many nice looks you can do with just this Pallette alone. And again, really nice shades for blue/green eyes!

Ardell Demi Wispies Natural

These aren’t expensive at all, but I’d really like to get a few packagers of these. I’ll be honest and say I’ve NEVER worn false eyelashes before. But I really do love the look of them, especially when they’re more natural like these. And they make your lashes look amazing on camera! So yeah I’ll definitely be getting myself some of these down the road.

Well thats all I have for you guys today. I hope you enjoyed it! Again, make sure to leave some comments and let me know what you guys think of these and if you have any questions! What are YOUR goals for this month? Let me know! I hope everyone has a beautiful day 😊 😘

  1. Good luck! Definitely go to IKEA for all the good stuff! The malm vanity is a great one too, has a huge drawer which is kinda hidden and rolls out. Also a good tip for keeping the makeup organized is to buy their (really cheap) cutlery holders to organize whats in the drawers and make sure your stuff doesn’t roll around everywhere!

    1. Thanks for commenting! I just looked up the malm vanity, it’s so nice, I was actually looking for one with just one drawer too, I couldn’t decide which would work best. But now after seeing the malm one I feel like it’s just the right amount of drawer space without having so many extra drawers! Thanks so much for the suggestion girl!

    1. Thanks so much! Thats so true. And even if you don’t get the best samples, at least it still makes for a good review and possible giveaways?! I super appreciate your feedback, thanks for reading 😊

      1. Yes definitely! I haven’t hosted a giveaway yet, but I’ve used my samples for reviews quite a few times. It’s so much cheaper than buying full sizes to review. I’ve been happy with my Ipsy subscription so far!

    1. It looks like such a beautiful pallette! It was so difficult picking between that and Sweet Peach. I was seriously about to just buy both, had them both in the bag and then my boyfriend kinda brought me to my senses lol that’s where the whole learning to budget and be more responsible with money is definitely going to help 😝 But I’m so glad you liked the post! Thank you so much for commenting! πŸ’•
